Service Area

Larimer County Search and Rescue services Larimer County, Colorado with the exception of those areas that are within Rocky Mountain National Park. The National Park Service is responsible for search and rescue in the National Parks. However we do send search and rescue resources to assist Rocky Mountain National Park when requested.

We also send search and rescue resources out of county and out of state when requested. We have sent team members to many counties in Colorado as well as the states of Nebraska, Wyoming, and South Dakota.

Some of our team members participated in the Space Shuttle Columbia Recovery Mission in Texas in 2003 when the Federal Government needed SAR Tech Specialists to assist in the search effort.

In 2006 , because of the skills needed, one of our Trackers was tasked to participate in a search for a missing person in Hawaii.
